I Can Be Nasty … In My Written Words

Ever since the arrival of Ms Curry, I could see the selfishness of some ppl(s).

Some ppl(s) who said they hack care wat’s going on, but they are the truely one who ‘cared’ … cos one can see from the actions they made, which sometimes directly or indirectly affected the ppl around them.

The most recent incident can justified how petty a man can be … and much much worse than any woman among us.

Even for a petty person like me who can simply adjust my mood in order not to spoil the mood of others, I just couldn’t understand wat’s wrong with this wishy-washy man when it was only a simple ‘Yes’ or ‘No’ decision to be made.

This someone (there used to be 2) who seems supportive of any ideas made, was actually a destroyer.

Well, it seems to him that an acquaintance is simply an acquaintance, it will never be developed into a friend of his.

Yes, by writing the above, I AM AFFECTED, cos I AM A PETTY PERSON! … And I’m not an ANGEL! I can’t help it but somehow my brain unconsciously storing them.

Whether hormone disorder working on them or on me, just dun provoke me I tell u. Cos I will NEVER FORGET! =P

(Someone even more cruel … he described that as “Menopause” … hehehe)

More nasty posts will come … depending on my mood ***evil smile***

I Can Be Nasty … In My Written Words

A Crazy Nite @ Carousel

Planning this welcome dinner had never been so difficult before.

Difficult becos of the expanding dept …
Difficult becos of the limited choice of buffet venue that could give us a more privacy corner …

But most importantly, difficult becos of the undecisive of the ‘class’ they wanted to be.

Sadly to say some of them chose to be of the ‘2nd class’ when they insisted on taking the cramped and self-payable mrt ride than a comfortable and claimable cab ride of which was specially arranged to the they-know-who ONLY.

The best part was, I wasn’t even the organiser, and yet I have to ‘voluntarily’ acted as a consultant to one of the organisers, Ms Sotong.

Knowing our 老爸, he would preferred a more ‘privacy’ place instead of an ‘island’ section with 4 round tables between the walkway and the buffet counters as given by Straits Kitchen, I voluntarily made the booking at Carousel knowing they could provide a privacy corner though the buffet rate are ‘much’ lower than those of Straits Kitchen.

Someone who had longed for Straits Kitchen might have decided to give it a miss (last min) knowing of the change. Not only did this lack of sportiness person give it a miss, one of the 2 leads of the nite was on mc too. ***sigh***

Nevertheless, the remaining attendees still spent a great time this nite.

Sitting with the right group of ppl can be very crucial too ^___^

And when fun came, we simply hack care liao =P

We were really in the mood to shoot tonite … or rather Ms Sotong who already planned to eat heartily and taking lots of pix … She CHANGED! :-O

大妹 : misleading…haha..

Ya, 2 yrs ago around this time, she sent me an email with the subject “B”.

That time we all knew she was trying for a bb, and so when she said she had 2mth B, 1st thing that came to my mind was of cos “BB” (pregnant) la, of which I gave her a call immediately asking “真的吗? 真的吗?”. After realising the mistake, laughters were heard from both ends.

Aiyo! Really lor … dun anyhow use “B” … esp for those who are trying out for BABY!!!!! **diao**

后记

Today is 大妹’s birthday, but we have yet to find the ‘not branded but classic, not bright red or chili red but maroon colour, and must have coin compartment’ wallet. 高难度 ! **sweat**

I had read the reviews of this traditional hainanese restaurant from a food blog and had wanted to make a trip down since last yr.

It wasn’t until the special request from NL who was still in Zurich then, and had missed the local food, esp tze char, that I suddenly recalled this place.

I felt so ‘at home’ when 1st stepped into this restaurant. Time seems to stand still here. Old 40s interior decos with old floor tiles. The elderly hainanese boss sitting at the wooden counter, communicating in the so-familiar hainanese language to his elderly women assistants. Elderly customers seemed to fill up 3/4 of the restaurant too. Seems like a nice hangout for the elderlys ^^

Hainanese chicken rice which was so tenderly smooth. It might just slip down ur throat without u knowing =P
The chicken rice that was served to us in a small soup bowl was flavourful too.

Roasted pork which CL couldn’t stop exclaiming how good it was … hahaha …

The Hainanese Pork Chops was a ‘must-order’ dish as recommended in the food blog, and so we did!
It was indeed tenderly yummy. Crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside.
I think I can finish them up all by myself, but with a bowl of rice to go along with … hehe 😛

2 choices of steamboat: beef or seafood.
We chose seafood one. I wondered if the items were served as per head or just a standard order, cos we were given 2 plates of them.
Din try the ‘soup base’ which seems like plain water to us. But after everything was cooked, the soup was simply savoury.

Sambal Kangkong which was a bit on the salty and oily side

The homemade lemon barley was nice too. I could still remember the taste as I typed this : )

Will definately revisit this place. And highly recommending it for all hainanese who are looking for authentic hainanese food outside … other than their mum’s homecooked food 😀

One thing to note, please do not exceed 8.30pm if u do not want to waste ur trip there, cos everything will be sold out by then. There were only left with few empty tables when we reached there around 7.20pm. So try to be there earlier.

It was drizzling outside when we left the restaurant.

After settling down at starbucks, NL started to ‘distribute’ her souvenirs and our shopping listed items to us.

CL was happy with her Ovomaltine spread while me with my shotglass : )
Our souvenir was the weird slimming sausage which NL claimed it was very nice.

My buy for today was this cute little one for 花鼠仔 at the last day of the japan fair in BHG ^____^

Philosophy of Life

“All you need is courage. Actions and wealth are both bomed from courage.”
“Fine feathers make fine birds”
“Trust takes years to build yet seconds to break”
“To the pure all things are pure; but to those who are defiled and unbelieving nothing is pure…”
“A bold attempt is half success.”
“too much of a self-centeredness can piss me off…this year is the start of change for us?”
“Life is not a written book you can pick up and read. It is a journal waiting for you to fill it’s pages…. ”
“Living today is to work for a better life tomorrow…”
“Hope is the companion of power, and mother of success; for who so hopes strongly has within him the gift of miracles.”

Not trying to give a lesson of philosophy of life here, but these were extracted from my msn contacts list. Guess we still had a lot to learn from the philosophy of enjoying life, physically and mentally.

Whether you are seeing sunset or sunrise, it’s how you want your heart to feel.

Sunset can be beautiful too ^________^

The S$240 Million Giant Ferris Wheel

Finally came the long awaited day!

YT and I met up at chinatown pt for our late lunch before we headed off to our company pick-up pt for setting off to Spore Flyer (world’s biggest observation wheel).

I delibrately made a detour to Ann Siang Hill before we met BS up at maxwell mkt for some desserts … despite the drizzle =P

As it was ndp rehearsal day too, many of the roads were closed, which affected our route to the Spore Flyer too.

Wat meant to be a <15mins ride ended up 30mins, with a ride passing nicholl highway, kallang, geylang … back to nicholl highway before they finally turned in to Spore Flyer.

the group from our capsule

bought this shotglass to add on to my collections ^___^

By the time we were about to set off, fireworks started at the marina bay. We had a good view of it from where we stood and watch the whole fireworks performance before we finally decided to leave the place.

We decided to forgo the chartered bus ride back to our company pick-up pt as we wanted to dine near that area instead. And just as we reached the atrium, the shuttle bus arrived just in time, that brought us to the City Hall MRT.

p/s: now then I know there are actually 4 stops in total … and to think we strained our brain to think of how to get to suntec inorder to avoid clashing with the ndp crowd **faint**
Stop 1: City Hall MRT (bus stop between St. Andrew’s Cathedral and The Adelphi)
Stop 2: Suntec City (bus stop outside Suntec City Convention Centre)
Stop 3: Millenia Walk (bus stop in front of Burger King)
Stop 4: Singapore Flyer

Once again, I suggested dining at Aerins … my truly fav dining place ^__*

Calamari (S$14)
a simply unchewable dish … tough man!

BS’s order – Spaghetti Chicken (S$17)

Mine – Lingurine Marinara (S$21)

YT-aka-Ms Sotong’s order – Spaghetti Chicken (S$17)
same as BS’s order but she changed the sauce to tomato instead … safe choice she feel …

SK’s order – Aerins Tagliatel (S$22)
look at the ingredients! it was indeed the most expensive dish as compared to our 😛

Inorder to be on the safe side, I recommended the nicey Snapper to SK’s mum and YS (sick gal of the day).

After a hearty chat in the mrt ride back, we ended our eventful day of fun and laughters … hippie!!! ^____^

Another Blue Monday …

The 2 gals striked again, when one who feel bored on her off day dragged the other relunctant-to-move-on-a-Monday one.

Why must she be off on MONDAYS???

I had wanted to show her the shop which sell those clothes that we always purchased directly from supplier online. The same clothe which we bought for approx. S$16 was sold as S$59.90 in the shop. Kinda “杀人放火”. Though rental might be higher there, but such price for a batik-like dress which colour runs like nothing, … u know wat I meant?

After browsing around, we ended up at the Kopi Alley for some drinks and ice cream ^___6

Their ice-cream in thick toast was much similar to those ice-cream in a bread oftenly found at those roadside ice cream vendors. However their bread was toasted before it was served to us, which made it crunchy on the outside, soft and sweet in the inside.
