MOB @ Vivo

MOB = Most Original Burgers. Quite a powerful name but how original it is I do not know.

The cute palm size burger resembled to those of MOS burger … but of cos a mini version.

We ordered “The Goodfellas” (S$14.90) which came with 3 mini burgers plus a side order.

3 choices of bun, Signature Brioche, Rosemary Foccasia or Plain White, with 12 types of meat to choose from.

The 14 side orders included fries of different types, salad and pasta/rice.

They kept emphasing that the burgers were of small size, and so we ordered 1 set each instead of sharing.

Though the food came in small portions, it can be very filling by the end of it cos the meat serving was quite generous. I was half fulled after taken one small burger :S

A small serving of pasta is just nice to fill up a corner of the stomach if you want a ‘full-filled’ feeling.

The other two sides to our sets were the thick cut fries (like those sold in MOS burger) and the sweet potato fries. You bet we were full to the rim 😀

Overall the food weren’t too bad. But next time if I’m going again, I will request for sharing @@

A Date With Aust Babies @ Cafe Biz @ Trader’s Hotel

When I first received the email titled “Dinner with Aust Babies” from CL, we thought we were expecting some babes coming from australia ~_~

So this dinner was arranged incelebration for our dear August Babies, NL, Ms Pilot and CL. And I was the only one out @@

Initially we fixed on Triple 3 @ Meritus Mandarin Singapore for their “1-for-1” credit card promo. But as the actual date getting near, we felt something amiss when the location given by Ms Pilot and NL didn’t tally. And since we couldn’t get it reconfirmed … somehow, we decided to book on Cafe Biz for their same promotion.

It was quite a cold-zy place.

There are fruits/salad section, section of small variety of japanese food (sashimi/sushi/soba) and seafood (crabs/prawns/oysters/mussels…), section of cooked food, section of breads and cheese, section of small variety of indian and malay food (naan/satay …), and section of desserts (ice-cream/cakes/pastries/durian puree …). Drinks are free flow serving while different bbq foods would appeared at each table once in a while for our option.

Well I would say, The Line, Melt and Carousel are still the 1st 3 favourites of mine. As compared, cafe biz did not have as much varieties. But there were still some food that captured me. Their satay, roasted meat and durian puree.

Anyway I think I would returned back only when they had the same offer or if someone was paying the bill ^_*

A Visit To The Far Northeast

sitting on an empty cabin all the way to far northeast around 10am+ … tat’s cool! ^^

I guess I haven’t been to this area for quite some times. I was totally lost among those new constructions which ended up making unnecessary big round to get to the right block @@

GM’s 2nd gal … halo! 🙂

I was amazed by how many toys her elder gal had in the corner where it used to be emptied, and where it used to be only occupied by xmas tree during the season.

3D2N Trip to Ipoh and Cameron Highlands (Real-Time Itinerary)

I’m back … from my 3D2N trip to Ipoh and Cameron Highlands!

I am still having ‘coachlag’ today, sleep on-off away in the coach cos it was a looooong journey back. I had watched 2 latest movies, few variety shows, a concert and hokkien songs mtv throughout the rides during those 3 days.

But despite the long journey, it was a pleasant trip.

We have been hearing about the shopping power of aunties, and I finally saw it for myself after being with 95% of aunties (some uncles) these few days. 妈咪 was one of them! @_@

Imagine most of these elderlys’ strength were weaker, what’s more with weak legs, they were still happily buying so many bulky and heavy stuffs as though they don’t need to get through the customs :S

Prior to the trip, I insisted on just bringing ONE pull luggage cos we THOUGHT there was NOTHING TO BUY. But who knows, for my convenience sake, we ended up stuffing all the heavy bulky stuffs into the luggage instead, while we handcarry our clothings with an extra purchase of a strawberry canvas bag which we bought at cameron highlands, and PLUS 2 other handcarry eco bags for vegetables, fruits and local products.

Anyway, SALUTE to them man!!! @_@

So now before I get into details with photos, here’s the record I had made on our real-time itinerary 😉 (妈咪 was wondering why I was always so busy writing down notes at every stop :P)

I do hope I can engage his service for other trips with my own group(s) 😉

notes that was scribbled at every stop 😀

The handphone no. with name was written down by 妈咪’s hong kong friend, presently residing in singapore, whom 妈咪 hasn’t been in touch with for some years, but we saw her at Yoyo instead. She came with a tour group heading towards Malacca then. What a small world! 😉

Heaven’s Loft & Cold Rock

Have a dinner date with 大小妹, and the mum-to-be Feli …

Heaven’s Loft was located at level 8 of orchard central with a rather big floor area. Other than their main dining place, there is a section for ben and jerry parlor near the entrance, and also an alfresco lounge with breath breaking view of orchard.

tv mounted onto the ceilling

waldorf salad (S$10.90)
mixture was ok to us

spicy buffalo wings (S$9.90)

there’s no hint of spiciness but overall not too bad

crispy calamari (S$12.90)

the batter was too much

my side orders: coke (S$4.90) & soup of the day (S$7.90)

Feli’s roasted f.j. chicken leg (S$19.90)

quite a safe choice as it was just a normal roasted chicken leg dish

BIL-A and 大妹’s beer battered fish n chip (S$18.90)

they couldn’t finish them up cos the batter was too much to taste while little fish meat could be seen

小妹’s basil p. chicken spagetti (S$20.90)

if one can’t take the taste of a basil, i think one can give this a miss

my seafood angel hair (S$24.90)

mine was quite a safe choice too 😉

As we walked out of the restaurant, these walls that were made up of amplifiers and players caught our sight.

Creative huh?! ^_*

Well, instead of having ben and jerry, we shifted to 313 for our dessert @ cold rock 😉

Cool! 🙂
