Right on the 1st day of lunar 8th mth, we headed down to the yearly mid-autumn fair for our mooncakes ‘feast’ 😛
Before the usual 3 mooncake gluttons (once a yr mah “P) went for the ‘feast’, we had a proper dinner meal @ Pepper Lunch. My first try on this sizzling hotplate meal.
Hotplate paranoiac me panicked at the sight of the hotplate serving infront of me and kept on going “huh?! huh?! wat to do?! wat to do?!” My usual heroines ‘saved’ me on the spot “P Aiyo … still got to cook @_@
An hour after our dinner, we were at the fair trying out some mooncakes. 妈咪 ever soundly-hinted that she wanted 五仁 mooncake (oso known as 金华火腿 mooncake) if I ever going to buy her any mooncakes. And so with that, I went around all the available stalls and bought ONLY 1 pc each from different brands for her to try “P. Tried some and almost ‘puked’ on them … sorry … simply not to my taste. **pai sey**
I still prefer the paper and ‘glass-paper’ lanterns
After buying our fav 食真 teochew mooncakes, we decided to head for home.
As we walked to Wisma, seeing that it was still early, I suggested finding a place for ‘resting our feet’ and have a drink “P … and so ended up at the Breaktalk Cafe. The place seems rather smelly (dunno where it came from) but the deco did gave a cosy feel.
When I reached home, I thought my box of mooncakes would be the first to be on the table, so coincidentally we received a box from my malacca cousin who met up with 小妹 in JB. Thanks huh! ^_^
nice box … to be added on to my junks collections
